Heading to the beach this weekend looked a little different with Tesalate’s sand-free towel.
Anyone who loves to spend time at the beach knows exactly how the sand gets everywhere. For me, what’s most difficult are those less-noticeable places, such as the back of my legs, the creases of my backpack, and of course, the towel. My partner and I try to shake off all of the sand from our beach blanket, but it’s still stuck in the fibres and inevitably winds up in our car.
Recently though, Tesalate sent Gab Travelling a free towel to try out and review. I first heard about these Aussie sand-free towels from instagram ads when I lived in Canada. I remember watching the videos thinking, “But how?”
As someone who spends lots of time at the beach, I’m surprised this towel hasn’t made its way into my bag earlier. For some unknown reason, I’ve been laying on a soggy sand-filled blanket every time I go to the beach. Seeing as how I frequent the beach nearly every weekend in the summer, this towel is already a huge help for staying sand-free.
What’s so Special about Tesalate’s Towels?
This towel has definitely lived up to the hype of being sand-free. There’s some amazing technology in this microfibre towel which has the ability to absorb so much water (about twice its weight), but not hold onto the sand.
Really, the sand just brushes off when it goes onto the towel, it doesn’t stick like others. And it’s definitely not hoarding sand into tiny fibres, like the fluffy cotton beach towel I had as a child.
Tesalate’s sand-free beach towel has a new permanent spot in my beach bag.
Sand-free isn’t the only good thing about this towel, it’s also rapid-drying, and compact. The towel is definitely lightweight, and while I do agree that it is, it’s such better quality than my cheap Amazon purchased BOGI microfibre towel, so Tesalate’s towel is definitely better quality.
There’s also loops for hanging, which I appreciate for travelling or just using at home. Overall, I’m happy with the quality of this towel, the price is definitely reflects in this and makes the product worth it.
It’s soft, and it comfortable to lay on for hours—even if my feet stick off a bit. I would love to see an extra-long version in the future of this towel, for people like myself above 180cm. Even if it’s a bit short for my entire body to lay on the beach, it’s great for drying off after.
Tesalate’s website has loads of pattern options, so there’s bound to be something for everyone in terms of design. I chose the Sunseeker pattern which is definitely my style, but I like a lot of other options on the website too.
